Mr Monkey was also taken by this Swedish wallhanging, Staffan Stalledräng by Märta Måås-Fjetterström, and by Manakuta Shiko's woodcut Shaka Judai Deshi*. Slightly oddly, the Japanese Arts and Crafts movement seems to have started about 12 years after it stopped in the rest of the world.
