Mr Monkey at the V&A

"It's an excellent exhibition"

Mr Monkey had taken his humans to the V&A to see the International Arts and Crafts exhibition. Arts and Crafts started in Britain in the 1880's, later spread to Europe, America and Japan, and was arguably the first modern art movement. Mr Monkey scampered around the exhibition, though some pieces looked like Art Nouveau to him.

As photography wasn't allowed in the exhibition, the pictures show Mr Monkey in front of pictures from the exhibition catalogue. The two windows - by M.H. Baillie Scott and Frank Lloyd Wright - look much better in real life, when they look more like windows.

You can read about the International Arts and Crafts exhibition at the Victoria and Albert website.
