Mr Monkey at the V&A

"Now, that's spooky!"

When he'd finished with the Arts and Crafts movement, Mr Monkey scampered off to see Spectres. This claimed to be about the "the shadows and experiences that form a 'fashion memory' in contemporary dress", but was even scarier than that. Mr Monkey was really taken with the illusion of the long dress over the small dress, which looks more effective in real life than in this photo. Even though Mr Monkey and his humans knew how the illusion worked, it was still very spooky.

You can read all about Spectres at Victoria and Albert website, and about the mechanics of the Pepper's Ghost illusion at the Phantasmechanics website.
