Mr Monkey at Eltham Palace and Hampton Court

"There's a wedding cake on the roof!"

At the bottom of Fleet Street, Mr Monkey found St Brides, the printer's church. The first thing Mr Monkey noticed was the steeple which inspired a baker on Fleet Street to start making tiered wedding cakes. Inside, Mr Monkey saw a screen at the end of the nave which reminded him of the screen in the chapel at Hampton Court. This is probably because both churches were designed by Wren.

You can read about the church at the St Bride's website, and about Christopher Wren at the BBC History website.
