Mr Monkey scampered down Fleet Street again, and arrived at the church of St. Dunstan in the West just in time to see the statues of the giants Gog and Magog bang their bells, before a secret hammer chimed the hours. While he was waiting, he studied the statue of Queen Elizabeth I, which is the only surviving statue of her carved in her lifetime.
