Once aboard, Mr Monkey scampered to the Admiral's quarters, most famously occupied by Lord Horatio Nelson. The dining cabin and day cabin are laid out as if the ship was in dock. At sea, where there were no dignitaries to impress, most of the furniture was packed away. Mr Monkey's keen simian eyes spotted the gunport in the stern, which would normally be hidden by panelling. Then he peered at a replica of the cot the Nelson slept in.
