Mr Monkey aboard HMS Victory, 29th August

"Well, I think figureheads should have faces"

Mr Monkey scampered around looking for the entrance to HMS Victory. He stopped under the prow to inspect the figurehead, which is just the coat of arms of George III being held on by a couple of cupids. Walking along the larboard, port or left side of the ship he was impressed by the array of cannon poking through the gunports. He saw that a few were battle ready, but most had a tampion fitted for protection from the weather. Mr Monkey thought the glass in the gunports didn't look totally authentic. He found a gangway up into the ship, and swarmed aboard.

You can read about the warship at the HMS Victory website.
