Mr Monkey left the admiral's quarters and scampered through the upper gun deck. He looked at a row of 12 pounder guns, which could shoot an iron ball ¾ of a mile. There thirty of these guns on the upper gun deck. At the prow end of the deck Mr Monkey looked at the hammocks in the sick berth, which was conveniently close to the ships heads (toilets) and fresh air. In a battle, the sick berth was moved into the orlop, three floors down.
