The first replica creatures Mr Monkey encountered were two Ice Age mammals, the Megaloceros with its rather ostentatious antlers, and the tree-hugging Megatherium. The tree that the Megatherium is embracing is a Victorian tree that broke the Megatherium's arm off by growing. The tree is dead now, so the Megatherium is safe. Mr Monkey was pleased to have found these creatures, though he was still hoping for a dinosaur or two.
