Mr Monkey in Ostende, August 27th

"It's a bit worrying, really"

In the churchyard of Our Lady of the Dunes, Mr Monkey found the tomb of the artist James Ensor. He couldn't help noticing that there was a spider of above average size looming over the tomb. This was called Maman and was the work of Louise Bourgeois. Mr Monkey wondered how the people living the the nearby houses felt the first time they saw the spider.

In January 2008, Mr Monkey saw Maman lurking outside the Tate Modern.
