Next, the tour took Mr Monkey back down the stairs and out of the tower. He was led across the putting green, which used to be the outer bailey of the castle, to a small fenced area. Mr Monkey was expecting there to be some sort of monument, but quickly found that there was a set of steps going down into the earth.
