Mr Monkey scampered round the outside of Trafalgar Square, checking that Nelson was still on his column. He had a quick look at Admiralty Arch. Only royalty are allowed to go through the central arch, and even they have to phone ahead so that someone with a key can unlock the gate*.
*Okay, the bit about phoning is a little made up; but there must be someone whose job is to make sure the gates are opened when needed.
