Trip date : 12 December 2012
"There's another of Mr Alfred's towers in the distance"

To the north and north-west Mr Monkey gazed down on St Ann's Church, the domes of the Royal Exchange and on the Lloyd's bank, which was built on the site of the previous town hall after it was replaced by the very building Mr Monkey was at the top of. In the distance, he spotted the central tower of Strangeways prison, which, like the Town Hall, was designed by Alfred Waterhouse.
