Mr Monkey was looking at Peter Freeman's Glam Rocks when he suddenly noticed that the street beside him was a lot brighter than it had been a moment before. He quickly realised that the Illuminations had been switched on for the evening, and that the light-spotting cars were starting to roll through Blackpool. Mr Monkey walked on at a sedate pace until he came to They Shoot Horses Don't They?, the giant disco-ball put up by Michael Trainor and the Art Department. Mr Monkey thinks it looks more disco-like in the daytime.
