When he got down to the seafront, Mr Monkey noticed that someone had put up a rather interesting looking structure. This is the new Festival House, designed by the architects de Rijke Marsh Morgan. If they've a mind to, couples can get married in the ceremonial room on the top floor, which has an excellent view of the Blackpool Tower. Standing outside, Mr Monkey could see the Tower perfectly, and he didn't even have to get married. The ground floor has a tourist information office, opened by HRH Earl of Wessex KG GVGO in honour of the Diamond Jubilee.
You can read about the Festival House at the Blackpool Council website and at the De Zeen website.
