Mr Monkey takes a Mancunian Canal Cruise, 13th October

"There's a sign saying 'dry docks' but they look rather damp to me"

The L.S. Lowry arrived in Salford Quays. Just past the Imperial War Museum North, designed by Daniel Libeskind, Mr Monkey saw a massive harp-like structure. When it's put in place, it'll be a footbridge from the new MediaCity complex to the Trafford side of the canal. Having reached a point where it either had to turn round or go all the way down the Manchester Ship Canal, the boat made a u-turn. Mr Monkey examined the cranes and dry docks on the Trafford Wharf as it passed them.
