The first piece in Chinese Whispers is A Shirt I Wore to Work by Kwan Sheung Chi, which looks like an ordinary shirt until you get close enough to see that the blue stripes are actually I am artist repeated over and over. Mr Monkey was taken with a pair of linked pieces, To Wong Wai Yin by Kwan Sheung Chi and To Kwan Sheung Chi by Wong Wai Yin, centred on the artists' recreation and tearing in two of a famous photo of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner.
You can see the original of Hans Namuth's photograph Jackson Pollock painting One and Lee Krasner at the Amica library website.
