Mr Monkey at the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument, 9th June

"This has been an excellent visit"

Mr Monkey arrived at the Brick Gate, Vyšehrad's northern gate. He was too late to visit an exhibition about the fortifications of Vyšehrad and to see some of the original statues from Charles Bridge on display in a casement in a nearby bastion. The Brick Gate was built in 1841-1842 on the orders of Prague Vice-Regent Karel Chotek. Mr Monkey decided the Brick Gate looked too brick-like to be very interesting, scampered through, and left the Vyšehrad National Cultural Monument.
