From the west baths Mr Monkey was able to look at the King's Bath. This was built in the 12th century on top of Roman walls around the spring, and was modified when the Grand Pump Room was built in the 18th century. Mr Monkey scampered back up to modern ground level to visit the Pump Room, where he decided not to have a drink of spring water from the ornate fountain. And that ended his tour of the Roman Baths.
Mr Monkey spotted one of King Bladud's pigs waiting beside the King's Bath.
