When Mr Monkey returned to the Museum in Docklands on Saturday morning, he scampered up to Level 2 and started to explore the history of London's docklands from 1820 to the present. In the City and River gallery he saw some interesting* expanding peepshows showing Marc Isembard Brunel's Wapping to Rotherhithe tunnel (now part of the East London underground line), examined a large model of St. Katharine's dock, and found out that at one time London had the biggest whaling fleet in the world.
