Mr Monkey inspected a monument to the cartoonist Marten Toonder, who was born in Rotterdam and was possibly the Netherlands' most important comic artist. The monument is surrounded by statues of characters from his comics. Nearby he saw the cubehouses designed by Piet Blom as a form of urban tree house. The cubehouses are on top of a bridge over a major road, and were built in 1984.
