The boat took Mr Monkey under Skeldergate Bridge. Originally, the smaller span on the left could be raised to allow tall ships to enter the port of York but that doesn't happen any more. The boat turned around before it got to York's newest bridge, the Millennium Bridge. Like all the best millennium projects, it didn't open in 2000.
