Mr Monkey inspected the gas lamps along Rotten Row. These were made by William Sugg and Co and are Windsor lamps, sold from 1898. William Sugg installed gas lamps all over London. As he walked away from Rotten Row Mr Monkey heard some jingling and turned to see a carriage and four trundling past. Rotten Row used to be the place for the rich and fashionable to ride, when the rich and fashionable all had horses.
