Mr Monkey trotted along to the corner of Langestraat and Kapucijnenstraat, where he found out that the dead from the siege were buried all over the city. In all the total loss of life over the four years of siege is estimated at 52,000 defenders and 45,000 attackers. Mr Monkey ran along to the Mijnplein. During the excavation of an underground carpark here in 1994-1995, skeletons from the siege were found. Mr Monkey was glad he'd got his little pamphlet when he visited the Venetian Galleries as he couldn't find the official information board.
