Mr Monkey sees the Hound of the Baskervilles at Lyme Park, 8th September

"That's a terrifyingly beastly canine, you know"

Mr Monkey watching the Hound bound out of the darkness Mr Monkey watching the cast take their curtain call

Mr Monkey watched the play, engrossed as Holmes and Watson uncovered the fiendish plot against Sir Henry Baskerville. By the time the horrible hound appeared it was quite late and the stage lights had been lowered so the sight of the giant hound bounding onto the stage was quite scary. After the cast took what would have been a curtain call if there'd been any curtains, Mr Monkey (and most of the children in the audience) went to inspect the hound.
