At the press night of The Country Wife, Mr Monkey trotted upstairs to look at the In Posters exhibition.

Mr Monkey looking at the poster for the 1986 production of Edward II In Posters is a simple exhibition presenting a range of posters used to advertise Royal Exchange Theatre Company productions since the theatre opened in 1976.

Mr Monkey was a little disappointed that the posters weren't displayed chronologically and that no details of the artists were given. He'd have liked to be able to see the way the posters change over time. On the other hand, he was able to compare posters for different productions of the same play, which was interesting.

The exhibition is described as "rolling", so Mr Monkey assumes the posters will be changed at various times throughout the rest of the year.

In Posters runs at the Royal Exchange until January 12th, 2013.
