Mr Monkey in front of a cow striped like a bee

Location : Brazenose Street, at the Albert Square end
Date viewed : 10 August

The civic symbol of Manchester is the industrious bee, and the city's coat of arms includes "a terrestrial globe semée of bees volant, all proper"*. This cow doesn't really buzz much, though. And it doesn't have wings either.

*Or, in English rather than Heraldry, a globe covered by a swarm of flying bees, obviously.
