Before he left Nieuwport, Mr Monkey saw a couple of brass bands who were in town for the three day festival of Saint Bernard. The first band was a proper brass band, with uniforms, and neat kepis, and a flag, who marched and played. The second band was Studentenfanfare Ghendt who stopped marching when one of the trumpeters started dancing with a woman from a cafe.
