Mr Monkey in York, August 11th

"It's a pretty impressive building"

Mr Monkey came out into the Minster Yard and walked around the Minster. He looked up and admired the south side of the building. There's been a cathedral in York since 625, though the early versions were ruined by Normans, Danes, and fire. The building that Mr Monkey admired is the result of 250 years almost continuous building from 1220 onwards.

You can read about the cathedral at the York Minster website.
