Mr Monkey in York, August 9th

"So that's what a Minster looks like"

Down the slope from the dangerous assembly of owls, Mr Monkey found the hospitium of St Mary's Abbey. This was built in the 14th century to give visitors to the abbey, which is now completely ruined, somewhere to sleep. Mr Monkey left the Museum Gardens and carried on along Museum Street, getting a good view of a bit of York Minster as he did. It looked very like a cathedral.
