Mr Monkey at Imperial War Museum North, June 15th

"They had an awful lot of aluminium with them when they built this place"

As he scurried around in search of the entrance, Mr Monkey stopped to study the building. Daniel Libeskind designed it in three pieces, or shards. First Mr Monkey studied the Water Shard, which seems to be a rectangularish box with green windows, then the curved Earth Shard which houses the main exhibition space. Then he set off to find the third shard.

You can read Daniel Libeskind's thoughts on the building at the Daniel Libeskind website.
