Mr Monkey at Imperial War Museum North, June 15th

"It's not really attached to anything, you know"

Mr Monkey left the Bridgewater Canal at the Throstle Nest bridge, and decided to investigate an enormous sculpture across the road. He had to wait for four different sets of traffic lights to change before he got across the street, but when he did he found himself looking at a giant hook and chain. This is one of two Skyhook sculptures by Brian Fell, which symbolise the regeneration of Trafford Park. Mr Monkey wondered if the hook was holding Trafford Park up.

You can read about the Skyhooks at the Public Monument and Sculpture Association National Recording Project website.
