Mr Monkey in Chester, May 27th

"That's a lot of coast for one little customs house"

Mr Monkey peered over a wall to see the Chester race course, but nothing was happening, so he scampered off back to his hotel. On Watergate Street he noticed the Guildhall of the Freemen and Guilds of Chester, which used to be the Holy Trinity church. In front of it he admired the old Customs House of the Port of Chester. Apparently, the Port of Chester extended from Barmouth in Wales all the way to Morcambe Bay, and it was all controlled from Chester Customs House.
