Stopping at the crossing, Mr Monkey peered at the candelabrum, which was given to the church by a brewer's widow in 1680, but decided he liked the ceiling it has hanging from better. Then he found the Harvard Chapel, reconstructed with funds supplied by Harvard University. John Harvard, founder of the University, was born in Southwark in 1607 and was baptised in St Saviours.
