Mr Monkey at Bristol Museum

"It's a rather brilliant building"

Mr Monkey outside Bristol Museum Mr Monkey examined an ancient glass flask

Running up the steps into the museum, Mr Monkey paused to admire the fine entrance foyer. The museum was built by William Henry Wills of the Wills tobacco family, as a gift to the city. There are lots of small rooms off this foyer, and Mr Monkey decided he'd start with the collection of ancient glass. He was very taken with the footed flask, made in Alexandria around 1BC to 1AD.

You can read about the museum at the Bristol City Council website.
