On Thursday, Mr Monkey only got to one panel. Barbara Cleverly, Judith Cutler, Paula Gosling, Marianne MacDonald, and Mary Jane Maffini admitted to mistakes they wish they hadn't made.
In the evening, there was a quiz. Mr Monkey led a team called the Five Orange Monkeys because there were five people and an orange monkey in the team, and they were on table number 5. The authors Laura Wilson and Peter Guttridge insisted that everyone answered questions about who wrote what, and about who, and how much Philip Marlowe drank, and so on, and then everyone tried to identify film clips and name the book they were based on. After the scores had all been totalled up it turned out that the Five Orange Monkeys had scored more than any other team, and they were showered with prizes.
