Mr Monkey scampered down some more steps to visit the First Class Dining Saloon, where it looked like the staff had been interrupted laying the tables for dinner. Queen Victoria was very impressed by the use of mirrors which made the original saloon appear "almost boundless", and Mr Monkey was impressed by the ornate columns. The saloon was converted in cargo space and steerage accomodation when the Great Britain became an emigrant ship.
