Mr Monkey ran up to the end of Great George Street and found himself on Brandon Hill. He knew that somewhere on the hill were the remains of defences from the Civil War, but they weren't labelled. They were probably only bumps and ditches anyway, so Mr Monkey pretended that he'd seen them, and went to look down towards the harbour instead.
