Mr Monkey in London, March 4th

"Now, that's an interesting coincidence"

Mr Monkey left the church and scampered down Cloth Fair. He suspected that the chequerboard decoration of the outside was put there as part of the Victorian restoration. In a small side street, Mr Monkey found a blue plaque claiming that Sir John Betjeman, poet laureate, had lived in a building behind a bar called Betjeman's.
