Mr Monkey in Newcastle, January 13th

"It's a really interesting place, this is"

Mr Monkey had a tour around the Watch House, the home of the Tynemouth Volunteer Lifeboat Brigade since its formation in 1864. He enjoyed seeing the exhibits, mostly relating to wrecks and lifesaving around the Tynemouth area, but he wasn't allowed to take pictures. When Mr Monkey had looked around enough, and been stopped from trying to send signals with the searchlight in the tower, he left, having a quick look at the Collingwood Monument, and scampered off to Tynemouth station.

You can read about the Brigade at the Tynemouth Volunteer Lifeboat Brigade website.
