Mr Monkey in Newcastle, January 12th

"I offered to buy them an ice cream, you know"

Leaving the South Shields museum, Mr Monkey admired the building it was in. His nimble monkey eyes ferreted out a clue that it used to be a free library. His humans were feeling in need of a snack, so Mr Monkey took them across the street to the Minchella ice cream parlour. Minchella's sell coffee, and cheese toasties, and cake, as well as ice cream, which was lucky, what with it being January.

You can read about the ice cream parlour at the Minchella & Co. website.
