Mr Monkey in London, January 10th

"It's a very sparkly street, this one"

Mr Monkey in Hatton Garden Mr Monkey looking at a jewellers shop window

At the end of the passage through Ely Court, Mr Monkey came out in Hatton Garden. In 1576, Elizabeth I gave Christopher Hatton some of the Bishop of Ely's land to build a house and garden here. It's obviously famous for jewellers shops now. Mr Monkey scurried along, examining the sparkling gems in the shop windows.
