Mr Monkey in London, January 9th

"Monkeys don't get lost, even in an artistic box labyrinth"

Mr Monkey looking down on Whiteread's Embankment Mr Monkey walking between Rachel Whiteread's boxes

Inside the Tate modern, Mr Monkey trotted into the Turbine Hall to see the latest of the Unilever Series. Rachel Whiteread has taken 14,000 casts of the insides of a number of cardboard boxes and piled them up in an allegedly labyrinthine manner. Mr Monkey looked down on the installation, then scampered downstairs to frolic amongst the ghost boxes. He didn't get lost, of course, because it wasn't really that much like a maze.

You can read all about Whiteread's Embankment at the Tate Modern website.
