Mr Monkey in Brussels, December 11th

"It's very interesting, and just a little creepy"

Mr Monkey walking beneath the Royal Palace Mr Monkey wandering the Coudenberg site

Mr Monkey scampered into the Royal Palace, and followed the signs for the Coudenberg. When they laid out the Place Royale, they built it on top of the ruins of the Coudenberg palace and some other buildings that weren't pretty enough to keep. Mr Monkey crept down a set of stairs into the Coudenberg archaelogical site, where he examined walls as old as the 12th century, scurried around the basement of a 16th century chapel, and walked up and down a buried 17th century street.

You can read about the Coudenberg at the Coudenberg Former Palace of Brussels website.
