Mr Monkey found The Church of Our Lady of the Lobster. This was actually the remains of the church of Holy Rood, which was replaced by nearby Christ Church in the 1850s, when they realised it was too small for the increasing population. Wandering around a bit in the park, which used to have a manor house but now has a raised grass recatangle instead, Mr Monkey came to a hillside and looked down upon the magnificent vista of Swindon spread out beneath him.
