Before he went all the way back to the wrong side of the roadworks, Mr Monkey noticed a stairway leading off the bridge, which had obviously been put there to rescue tourists who were accidentally crossing the Götaälvbron. From the bottom of the steps, Mr Monkey found it was just a short scamper to the Lilla Bommen quay, where he met Miss Carol, and found out that it would have been much quicker to go into the Nordstaden department store and use their much more direct covered bridge to the quay.
