One of the most interesting buildings on the Stortorget is the Apoteket Lejonet (or Lion Pharmacy), built in the 1890s. It's called the Lion Pharmacy (or Apoteket Lejonet) because there's a lion over the door, and Swedish apothecaries were traditionally named after strong things. Mr Monkey considered running down the passageway beside the apothecary, but decided against it. He tried to get intside to see the nineteenth century shop fittings, but they weren't open.
