Mr Monkey ran round the courtyard, trying to spot the differences between the bits built by Lord Stirling in the 1630s and by the Earl of Argyll in the 1670s. He decided that the major difference was that Stirling liked little round towers, while Argyll prefered little octagonal towers. Then he realised the the door in the octagonal tower was the way into the house, so he scampered inside.
