Mr Monkey at the Falkirk Wheel

"Well, this has been an excellent visit"

Mr Monkey looking Wheel and aqueduct from across the basin Mr Monkey looking at the replica Charlotte Dundas

The last thing Mr Monkey did at the Wheel was to run around the edge of the basin to get a good view of the structure as a whole. While he was there, he saw an odd looking boat. This seemed to be a replica of the Charlotte Dundas, an early steam powered tug which towed two 70 ton barges along the Forth & Clyde Canal, but Mr Monkey couldn't get near enough to find out what it was there for. Then Mr Monkey took his humans back to the car park, and they left the Falkirk Wheel.

You can read about the real Charlotte Dundas at the Wikipedia website.
