Each of the gondolas weighs 50 tonnes, with 250 tonnes of water and/or boats inside. Because the two gondolas always weigh near enough the same, the wheel is very well balanced and uses very little energy. Mr Monkey was impressed by how little water splashes out of the gondolas. Before going for his boat ride, Mr Monkey had a go on the radio controlled boats, piloting a river boat around the floating volcano.
